Bronlynn Thurman, 34

Bronlynn is a creative, thinker, and Akronite. A true Midwesterner through and through, you can often hear her sing out a “hiya doing?” when greeting someone, but she refuses to say pop over soda.

Professionally, Bronlynn works in Northeast Ohio’s philanthropic sector, focusing on arts, culture, and social ties at the regional and neighborhood level.

In her spare time, Bronlynn explores the world through books, traveling, cycling, and hiking. She runs two local community groups; Black Women Explore and the Coffee & Cocktails Book Club. Bronlynn is an avid reader and passionate library and farmers’ market advocate. Photography, writing, and illustration are her primary artistic outlets. She is most often found at her favorite local coffeeshop, hiking trail, or cocktail bar.

Bronlynn received her B.S. in Advertising and M.S. in Information Architecture & Knowledge Management - UXD from Kent State University.
